 Laguna Mortgage Company, LLC (“Laguna Mortgage”), specializes in originating mortgage loans between related parties, such as family members or business associates.

 We know it feels like no intermediary should be necessary for such loans. After all, the parties already know each other and are willing to do the deal. But federal regulations currently seem to prevent mortgage lending by anyone not licensed as a “loan originator”. Because of the tangle of regulations, this type of transaction has become much more complex and difficult to accomplish.

 At Laguna Mortgage, we believe that related-party mortgage loans were not intended to be regulated or prevented, and we have made it our mission to facilitate the making of such loans.
